Details: Pieces from Hvidt & Mølgaard Studios can be found at New York’s MoMA, the National Gallery in Melbourne, and the Danish Museum of Art & Design in Copenhagen. Both designers were trained in their native Denmark and worked together from 1944-1975. They also designed furniture for Fritz Hansen.
This table collapses to a compact 18" L but can easily seat eight or ten when opened. The legs and top are a beautiful teak with an elegant design. The four exterior legs pivot out to form a study base while the central leg is stationary.
