Details: Middleboe (1910-2002) had a business degree, but switched to lighting design and opened his own studio in 1949. In 1955, Nordisk Solar hired him as an in-house designer. He experimented with many materials and shade construction techniques, resulting in the 1978 “Verona,” available as a pendant, chandelier, or table lamp. Inpsired by Poul Henningsen, and was similar to his “Kontrast,” but the differences in construction made this one easier to produce.
