Arne Vodder (1926-2009) was trained by and worked with Finn Juhl and his career stretched from 1951 until his death. This set was made by Ivan Schlechter (1918-2018), possibly the most well-regarded Danish furnituremaker & upholsterer. Finn Juhl also chose Schlechter to produce the world-famous Chieftain Chair; he also worked with Poul Kjærholm, Preben Fabricius & Jørgen Kastholm. Schlechter worked for more than 80 years starting at 14 years old! He usually produced small runs of high-end pieces and was known for his attention to detail and extremely high-quality vegetable-tanned leather saddle upholstery.
