Details: The Ax is a pioneering icon of Danish Modernism known for introducing the lamination technique to mass production. Inspired by tennis racket construction, it features a steam-bent beech frame (often with mahogany core) that is exceptionally strong yet visually light. It was historically significant as the first major Danish chair designed for knock-down (flat-pack) export, revolutionizing the global reach of Scandinavian design.
