Details: Drexel’s “Declaration” line, by MacDougall & Stewart, was among the first largely produced MCM lines produced in America. It achieved mainstream success partially due to the high quality walnut veneers used — and certain pieces had Shaker influences, showing that the American market was still looking for transitional pieces. Originally this piece didn't have legs; we have added some that can be removed if preferred. The leg height is designed to match the height of other Declaration pieces.
This walnut cabinet has two doors that open to reveal an adjustable / removable shelf, this piece could serve as extra storage or as a record cabinet.

Shipping Information - Please contact us for a quote on shipping. We have input the "average" price for a larger item, but usually, smaller items such as headboards or nightstands will cost considerably less to ship. Our apologies for the difficulty; it is the nature of dealing in vintage furniture and pieces of all shapes & sizes.

Note Regarding Condition: The furniture pieces we sell are all professionally restored, but they are primarily from the 1950s & 1960s; many will show signs of wear due to prior normal use. If there is any significant or noticeable damage, it will be noted in the product description above.
