Broyhill Furniture's "Brasilia" line, designed by Mel Smith, is possibly the most desirable line of American mid century modern furniture. This six drawer dresser features the iconic arches design on the top level, with the original handles on the lower four drawers. If you look at a photo of the Cathedral of Brasilia, you will immediately see what they are talking about. The designer actually flew to Brasilia and studied the design - but not without stopping in Rio to get the permission of the architect, Oscar Niemeyer, and to discuss the style with him.
